Google AdSense for bloggers has proven to be a really useful way to earn money from blogging, but many bloggers can’t seem to figure out how to apply and get approved by Google AdSense in the first place! I’ve put together this guide on Google AdSense for bloggers to help you navigate through the application process with ease and get your account up and running as quickly as possible! Acceptable Ads Policy
Google's advertisers need ads that aren't annoying, cluttered, or distracting. They also need websites with clean layouts that will attract readers' attention to their content.
To make sure ads meet these standards, we created a list of criteria called Google's Acceptable Ads policy (referred to as our Advertising Policies).
If you follow these policies, your ad can appear on sites across the web.
If you don’t follow them, your ad won’t run until you fix it. Learn more about how we enforce our advertising policies.
In order to help you create an ad that meets our policy requirements, here are some tips for creating high-quality text ads: Make sure your title is clear and concise.
Your title should be relevant to what users will see in search results when they click on your ad. The headline is often used by searchers to decide whether they want to visit a site or not. It’s important that people understand what
they'll find at each site from just reading its title in search results. Here are some examples of titles that might violate our policies: High School Musical Tickets Men's Suits Hotel Deals These titles use words commonly found in queries but don't clearly describe what users will get if they click through.
Here are better examples of titles that comply with our policies: Tickets for High School Musical Suits For Men - Buy Cheap Suits Online Hotel Deals - Compare Hotel Prices From Over 50 Sites! These titles describe what users will get if they click through and tell them where to go to get more information.
Avoid using superlatives like best or top since there is no way for you to objectively prove your claim. Instead, let your business practices speak for themselves. Do you have a privacy policy?
A privacy policy tells users what personal information (such as name, address, phone number) you collect and how you use it.
Users can take steps to protect themselves if they feel uncomfortable sharing personal information with you.
You must include a link to your privacy policy in every ad group so that users know exactly how much personal information they're giving up when they click on your ad.

You may also wish to include links within your ad text itself so that anyone who clicks on your ad knows exactly where to look for more details about your company or products.
Why AdSense?
Google AdSense is one of two main programs offered by Google to place ads on your website.
The other program, Google AdWords, allows you to place text ads on your site through a network of advertisers.
Whereas AdWords allows you an active role in selecting which companies appear in front of your audience, Google can’t vouch for quality or legitimacy with regard to its advertisers.
Instead, it relies on algorithms that determine where ads will appear based on relevance factors. This means that sometimes inappropriate ads may show up.
In contrast, AdSense only places contextually relevant ads on your site—you don’t have to select anything yourself.
You simply need to apply and get approved for a publisher account.

Here we explain what types of sites are eligible as well as some pros and cons related to using Google's advertising platform.
Types of Ads
Google offers two types of ads on its network—display (images) and text (links).
It’s important that you understand which type you will use on your site. Display ads are graphical, meaning they show images or videos that go along with your content.
They tend to attract more clicks, but also earn lower rates because they’re more expensive than text ads. Display ads appear in a variety of formats including skyscrapers, squares, rectangles and banners.
Text links are exactly what they sound like—visual text overlays on websites that allow users to click through in order to visit other sites.
These are cheaper than display ads, but can be less effective. The most popular format is an in-text link, where it appears as if there is no ad at all; however, when someone clicks on it, it expands into a separate box within your page.
There are also link units that take up an entire line or column of space within your content area. And then there are search boxes where people can enter search terms and see results from advertisers alongside their query results.
You can choose to have any combination of these options across multiple pages on your website—the key is just picking one option per page so you don't confuse visitors who might not know how to navigate multiple options on one page.
Once you've decided which type of ad(s) best fits your needs, create a new AdSense account using that format.
Note: Each AdSense account must contain only one type of ads.
If you want to change between different types later on, you'll need to create another account using that particular ad format.
For example, if you're currently running text ads and decide to switch over to display ads, you'll need to create a new account under your name.
Then you can transfer funds from one account to another by logging into both accounts simultaneously.
This way, each account has a positive balance while still keeping them separate under your name.
For example: Jane Smith's AdSense Account 1 contains $100 in her text ad balance while Jane Smith's AdSense Account 2 contains $100 in her display ad balance.
First Steps in Blogging
Starting a business from scratch is a hard job but it isn’t impossible.
One of your first steps should be researching your niche; you need to understand who you’re selling to before you even begin creating products.
In fact, many entrepreneurs put off starting their businesses because they don’t feel prepared enough about what they plan on doing.
Google AdSense for bloggers is a good idea if you want to make some cash or start earning money right away on a particular topic that you know lots about already.
This way, you can test out whether blogging is really something you enjoy and want to pursue as a career.
If so, then great! If not, at least you have some experience under your belt when it comes time to launch your own website.
For example, say you’ve been spending all your free time learning how to play guitar.
You could write articles or tutorials on learning how to play different songs or techniques and place ads around them that link back to music lessons sites.
The beauty of using Google AdSense for bloggers is that it’s flexible—you can focus on topics in which you have a personal interest and become an expert in those fields, allowing you to generate income without having an actual product (yet).
There are also opportunities outside of writing such as posting videos related to your content—which YouTube pays people for—or other creative options.
And again, all these skills will come in handy when launching your own independent site later down the road.
So yes, applying for Google AdSense may seem like a lot of work, but if you want to learn more about blogging and growing your audience with no real commitment yet, there's no better way than by testing things out with Google AdSense.
Also remember that getting approved doesn't mean it's easy - especially since we're talking about making serious money here - so don't give up after one try. Do whatever research you can do get approved as soon as possible!
There are thousands of profitable niches where you can run advertisements and most likely make thousands each month just by providing quality information through blogs posts or Youtube videos.
Signing Up
The first step in signing up is to find an ad unit that works well on your site.
If you're not sure where you'd like your ads, simply select 'Display Network Only' at Step 2. This way, you'll be able to place a single ad unit on any page of your site without disrupting your content.
Once you've selected which type of ads you'd like, click 'Continue.' You will then be prompted to sign into your Google Account if you don't already have one. After doing so, enter your website URL and agree to Google's terms and conditions.
Then just wait until Google reviews your application! You should hear back within a few days (if not sooner).
