Introducing the Honor View 50 Pro: A Smartphone with a Professional Edge
Flagship smartphones are getting more expensive every year, which means most people can’t afford them. Battery Life
Thanks to its 4,000mAh battery, Honor says that you’ll be able to get up to two days of battery life from a single charge. The Honor View 50 also supports 40W SuperCharge for fast charging—even if you don’t have an electrical outlet handy. You can fully charge your device in under an hour.
If you need to use your phone while it’s charging, Honor includes a feature called Fast Charge Mode that lets you continue using your phone while it charges at 10W (5V/2A). That means you won’t lose any functionality while waiting for your phone to charge. When Fast Charge Mode is enabled, it will take approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes to fully charge your Honor View 50 Pro.
Keep in mind that Fast Charge Mode does drain your battery faster than usual when it’s turned on. To keep track of how much power you have left, Honor has included a power saving mode that turns off non-essential apps when your screen is off or when your phone isn’t being used for long periods of time. The more apps you disable, the longer your battery will last before needing to recharge.
There are also various power saving modes built into Android 9 Pie like Adaptive Battery and App Power Monitor. These features help reduce how much energy certain apps consume without reducing their usefulness.
For example, Adaptive Battery will learn which apps you rarely use and then limit how often they run in order to save power.
App Power Monitor shows which apps are consuming most of your battery so that you can adjust settings accordingly. This all helps ensure that your Honor View 50 Pro lasts as long as possible between charges.
In addition to having a large capacity battery, Honor also includes fast charging technology for quick recharges whenever necessary.
Honor says that you’ll be able to fully charge your smartphone within one hour by using 40W SuperCharge technology. In addition to including USB Type-C support, there’s no need for an adapter because Honor includes one within the box along with your new smartphone!
The Honor View 50 Pro comes in Midnight Black and Navy Blue color options and has a 6.4-inch FullView display with minimal bezels. You can choose between 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage space. The Honor View 50 Pro runs Android 9 Pie out of the box, so it’s ready to handle all of your daily tasks right away!
You can access Google Assistant by holding down on your home button or long pressing on your screen if you prefer not to use buttons at all.
Since there are only two buttons (volume up/down) on either side of the phone, it’s easy to hold without accidentally pressing any buttons while scrolling through web pages or watching videos. As far as cameras go, Honor has included a dual camera setup on both sides of your Honor View 50 Pro.
On the front, you’ll find a 24MP selfie camera capable of taking detailed photos even in low light conditions thanks to its f/2.0 aperture lens and 1um pixel size.
If you want to take high quality selfies or group shots with multiple people, Honor has included 5x lossless zoom so that everyone is always looking their best. On back, there’s a 16MP + 2MP rear camera capable of taking wide angle photos without losing detail when zooming in thanks to its f/1.8 aperture lens and 1um pixel size.
Honor has made some improvements to its AI capabilities over previous models, which means that you can expect more accurate image recognition than ever before. The Honor View 50 Pro will be available for purchase beginning November 12th from Honor’s website and Amazon, but pricing hasn’t been announced yet. The Honor View 50 Pro features four speakers that are strategically placed around the chassis so that sound can be projected towards you no matter how you’re holding it or where it’s positioned in relation to your ears. The Honor View 50 Pro also supports fast charging so that you can quickly recharge your battery.
The included charger has a maximum output of 5V/2A, which is 10W. When charging with the Honor View 50 Pro’s included charger, it takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes to fully charge your device.
