5 Ways To Earn Extra Cash Online
One of the quickest ways to make some extra cash online is to sell your old junk on Craigslist, eBay, or Facebook Marketplace. But that’s not really earning money—it’s just selling stuff you don’t want anymore and collecting some cash from the deal. If you really want to make some money online, consider these five ideas instead.
1) Create blog posts
1. Sell items on eBay or Amazon – If you have unwanted items taking up space in your home, why not sell them online? You can earn a decent amount of money by selling items on eBay or Amazon. Just be sure to do your research first so you know how much your item is worth.
2. Do some freelance work – There are many websites that connect freelancers with potential clients. If you have some skills that others are willing to pay for, sign up for a freelancing website and start bidding on jobs.
3. Take online surveys – There are plenty of companies out there that are willing to pay for your opinion. Sign up for a few survey websites and start earning money for filling out surveys. All it takes is five minutes of your time for each one, which means you could make $250 an hour doing something easy.
4. Offer rideshare services – Rideshare services like Uber are popular and if you live in a city where these services operate, it’s a great way to make extra cash quickly without having to do anything too out-of-the-ordinary.
5. Participate in market research studies – It sounds weird but getting paid to participate in market research studies really does exist! Most studies take about 20 minutes and will net between $20-$50 per study.
2) Start an online store
If you’re crafty, you can start an online store and sell your wares. You can open an Etsy shop or sell on eBay.
If you’re not crafty, you can still sell products online as an affiliate. Find a product you love and promote it on your blog or social media channels. You’ll earn a commission for every sale you generate.
Your first step is to find the right affiliate program for you. There are lots of great programs out there with different ways to earn money - from search engine traffic to selling ads. Once you're signed up, start promoting! One way is to add links in the sidebar of your blog posts and also share them on social media. It's easy!
Create an account on sites like Zazzle or CafePress and upload any designs you have.
Once they get approved, they'll be available for purchase on their respective sites. Designing your own t-shirts at home? Turn them into prints (or wall art) at Redbubble to be sold worldwide! Or make CD inserts for your favorite band at Wunderkammer Prints.
Get paid to take surveys: Every day, companies want your opinion on all sorts of things that interest you. Join Ipsos iSay panel and answer surveys about food, TV shows, video games, news events or even politics--you could earn $10 per survey if selected to participate.
Participate in focus groups: In this type of research study participants watch videos or look at images and answer questions about what they see. Again, pay depends on what the market is paying at the time but you may be able to make $100 per hour depending on who signs you up for studies. Finally, do some freelancing: If you're good at designing and know how to do website work, there are plenty of opportunities out there for you.
I've had clients hire me because I'm knowledgeable about Google Analytics and Google AdWords among other things. They just tell me what they need done on the site and off I go!
