The Sindh Police are the provincial police force of Sindh, Pakistan. Its headquarters are in Karachi and its current chief, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, was appointed on 4 January 2016. As of 2017, it had more than 130,000 active personnel and an estimated strength of 172,000 personnel serving with 34 police stations across the province.


SINDH POLICE JOBS

Sindh police announced jobs for constables and head constables on Thursday. The last date to apply is February 28, 2023. Physical tests and interviews will be conducted to select the eligible candidates. The selected candidates will have to undergo six months of training at the Sindh police academy. 

After successful completion of training, they will be appointed as constables or head constables in different police stations across Sindh province. To qualify for the post, applicants must hold intermediate qualification (12th class) with 45% marks in aggregate; a bachelor's degree with 50% marks in aggregate; three years experience as a detective/sergeant-level officer; not less than five years experience of being an armed-police personnel and 10 years military service. 

For up-gradation from the rank of head constable to that of inspector, one should have served at least two years as head constable and obtained graduation from a recognized university. All interested candidates can submit their applications by visiting www.sindhpolicejobs.gov.pk or by sending them to SPP Office, Karachi. 

Applicants may also send their copies by post addressed to: Head Constable Department, Sindh Police Academy Building 2nd Floor Clifton Block A10 University Road, PECHS Quarters, Karachi. 

Candidates are advised to carry a hard copy of photo ID and CNIC along with the application form while submitting their documents in person. Applications received without any document will not be entertained. Interviews will be conducted on March 17, 2023, between 8am and 1pm. The interviews will be held in Sindh Police Academy building, Sindh Police Headquarters, Hyderabad.

HOW TO APPLY FOR SINDH POLICE JOBS

The Sindh Police jobs open for application every year. The eligibility requirements and the application process are available on the Sindh Police website. To apply, eligible candidates must submit an online application form, which is available on the website. After submitting the form, candidates will be required to take a written examination. 

Those who pass the written examination will be required to appear for an interview.

WHAT ARE THE ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS? If you are applying for any of the following posts, you must have an Intermediate qualification from a recognized Board or University with English as one of the subjects:- (i) Constable (Male/Female); (ii) Head Constable (Male/Female); and (iii) Sub Inspector (Male). 

If you are applying for any other post, you must have HSC or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University with English as one of the subjects. Registration requires some personal information such as name, date of birth, gender, education level etc., so please have this information ready when starting your registration. The last step requires uploading a scanned copy of your photograph and signature onto the site - these need to be clear and legible. 

Once uploaded, all documents will be verified before being sent to departmental authorities for approval. Applicants who qualify may then start preparing for the recruitment test. There is no need to wait until results are announced, as qualified applicants will be contacted by HRD with instructions on how to proceed.

WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS FOR BPS-17, BPS-16 AND OTHER GRADES?

To be eligible for appointment to the post of Constable (BPS-5), a person must: have Pakistani nationality; be at least 18 years and not more than 22 years of age on the closing date for receipt of applications; have passed at least Secondary School Certificate examination or equivalent qualification from a Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education recognized by the Government; possess minimum height as underunder - Male:- 168 cms, Female:- 158 cms. For recruitment to BPS-7/8 posts, a candidate shall have obtained Matriculation or its equivalent qualification recognised by Higher Education Commission and is not less than 19 years of age but may be less than 21 years on the last date fixed for submission of application formform.

The maximum age limit for appointment to all other grades would be 30 years as on last date fixed for submission of application form. Candidates should meet the requirements set out belowbelow Be at least 18 years old with eligibility to hold law enforcement position. Possess Pakistani citizenship. Have completed their secondary education certificate or equivalent qualification from an intermediate and secondary board recognized by the government. 

Must pass physical test which includes running 400 meters within 90 seconds without shoes, sprinting 50 meters within 15 seconds without shoes, pulling up your body weight five times using only one arm within 10 seconds each time and lifting yourself up off the ground with your feet six times with arms only within 30 seconds each time

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

The Sindh police jobs are now open for application and will close on the 31st of December, 2023. The requirements for these positions are as follows: you must be a Pakistani citizen, between the ages of 18 and 30, have completed your matriculation, and have no criminal record. The selected candidates will be required to serve a two-year probationary period. 

During this time, they will be paid a salary of Rs. 18,000 per month. After successful completion of the probationary period, their salaries will be increased to Rs. 21,000 per month. These posts require applications to be submitted electronically with no physical copies accepted.

ELIGIBILITY AND PROMOTION

The Sindh Police is looking for individuals who are interested in a career in law enforcement and who meet the following eligibility requirements: 

-You must be a Pakistani citizen. 

-You must have completed your Intermediate (12th) level education. 

-You must be between the ages of 18 and 25 years old. 

-You must be physically fit and able to pass a medical examination. 

-You must have good moral character and no criminal record. 

-You must be willing to serve anywhere in Sindh Province. 

The Sindh Police offers promotional opportunities for those who excel in their jobs and complete additional training courses. For example, after completing their Basic Training Course, Cadets can apply for promotion to the rank of Sub-Inspector. Upon successful completion of a Basic Course on Traffic Management, applicants can apply for promotion to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector Traffic. 

Similarly, upon successful completion of a Basic Course on Crime Scene Investigation, applicants can apply for promotion to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector Crime Scene. Successful completion of both courses results in an automatic promotion to Inspector Rank. After successfully serving as an Inspector or Superintendent for at least three years, officers may then be eligible to apply for appointment as a Deputy Superintendent General. 

Officers may also apply for promotion to the rank of Additional DIG by means of competitive examination. DIGs with at least five years service and high levels of experience are eligible to compete for the position of ADG (Additional DIG). 

ADGs with at least ten years service and high levels of experience are eligible to compete for the position of IGP, who will oversee all policing activity throughout Sindh Province. 

However, only those IGP candidates who are graduates from recognized Universities in Pakistan and possess higher degrees from abroad may be considered for this prestigious post.


RECRUITMENT FORMATS

The Sindh Police has announced that it will be accepting applications for open positions in 2023. What Qualifications do I Need?

-Candidates with less than five years’ experience must demonstrate relevant experience through additional qualifications such as military service, intelligence gathering, anti-terrorism/counter terrorism operations, or disaster relief management; 

-Must be able to pass a physical fitness testtesttesttest testtesttestand receive clearances from the National Counter Terrorism Authority and Federal Bureau of Investigation. Candidates who have served in the Pakistan Army, Navy, Air Force, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Frontier Corps (FC), Rangers or Marines may be exempted from this requirement if they provide proof of active duty service. Additionally, these applicants must be interviewed by the Ministry of Defense Security Division.

PROCESSING OF CIVIL PATROLS

Sindh police have invited applications from eligible candidates for the post of Civil Patrols. The job description and requirements are as follows: 

Eligible candidates must have completed at least 2 years of college education and be between the ages of 18-25. 

Candidates must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently, as well as have basic computer skills. 

They will be responsible for patrolling their assigned areas on foot or by vehicle, providing assistance to citizens, responding to emergencies, and maintaining order during events or protests. 

Interested candidates should submit their applications online at www.sindhpolice.gov.pk by January 31st, 2023. 

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews. Please note that only candidates living within a 60 kilometer radius of Karachi will be considered.

Successful applicants can expect an increase in their salary, depending on performance and experience. Entry level civil patrols earn PKR 3,000 per month with room for increases up to PKR 9,000 per month for qualified patrol officers with seniority. It is important to note that this is a full time position requiring duty 24 hours per day 7 days per week. Those who accept this offer will be expected to resign any other positions they may currently hold and relocate if necessary. 

The work schedule consists of 12 hour shifts; one week working day shift (6am-6pm) and one week working night shift (6pm-6am). 

Applicants should also be aware that they may need valid documents such as an international passport, driver's license, national ID card, and/or military service card before being accepted into the program. In addition, males applying for this position must be willing to serve anywhere in Pakistan. 

Females applying will only be required to serve in Sindh province but must still commit themselves 24 hours a day 7 days a week.


REQUIREMENTS FOR WOMEN POLICE OFFICERS

1. All women applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 30.

2. Applicants must have completed at least 14 years of education.

3. Applicants must be Pakistani citizens.

4. Applicants must be of good physical health and fitness.

5. Applicants must have good moral character and no criminal record.

6. Applicants must be able to speak and read English and Urdu fluently. 

7 Sindh domicile holders will be given preference during the selection process process. Candidates who are from a different province than Sindh but who reside within the borders of Sindh, will also be considered for hire if they meet all other criteria stated above. There is a quota for disabled persons which does not exceed 10% of total posts available (disabled persons only). 

Female officers must comply with the dress code that is required by female officers, whichwhich includes wearing long shirts, full-length trousers or skirts, dupatta or scarf, and head coverings when outside their place of work; clothing should cover both shoulders and upper arms with appropriate coverage on chest area too. 

Candidates cannot apply more than once per vacancy advertised; multiple applications shall result in automatic disqualification from consideration as well as cancellation of application fee deposit/subscription fees paid by candidate. 

A candidate’s gender, place of residence and marital status shall not affect eligibility to participate in the recruitment process. Applications submitted after deadline date or without necessary information will be summarily rejected. 

Candidates already working with SINDH Police Department may apply for open positions if qualified. Females employed by any Government organization can apply provided they possess a valid Certificate of Eligibility issued by their employer stating that the employee has obtained approval for leave transfer request to join our department. 

The initial contract period will be two years, extendable subject to review according to needs. After initial contract period there is an option of an extension up to five years maximum.

The Sindh Police department has announced that they will be opening up applications for new positions in 2023. This is a great opportunity for those who are looking to enter the police force, or for those who are looking to change departments. The application process can be found on the Sindh Police website, and will be open from January 1st, 2023 until February 28th, 2023. 

To apply, you will need to submit an application form, a resume, and a cover letter. You will also need to take an entrance exam, which you can find the previous year's exam papers and answers for on the website. 

The entrance exam is marked out of 100, and you will need to score at least 70% to pass. Good luck! The application process was very straightforward and took me only 10 minutes to complete. I'm excited about this opportunity because I have always wanted to become a part of the Sindh Police Department. 

I really like how easy it was to understand what my next steps should be after submitting my application - I had access to information about when my first interview would take place, what I needed to bring with me, as well as tips on how to prepare myself before going into it.
